Hello, I’m Jo, Owner of Orchid Coaching and HR, and I’m here to help you and your team maximise your business potential.
I'm married with two primary school aged children. With over 25 years experience working with senior leaders in large multinational companies in Human Resources, I have supported and coached senior employees to become better leaders, have greater engagement with their teams, and drive higher business performance as a result of great culture, effective performance management, and employee and leadership development.
In 2017 I decided to step away from corporate life; I had two young children and I was feeling like managing a family and working in a demanding senior position was just not working in the way I wanted it to (probably due to my 'Be Perfect' Driver’, but more about that later!). My passion when working in corporate HR was seeing the difference that effective coaching could have on senior managers and leaders. So, I decided to embark on an Executive Coaching and Mentoring course which I completed in June 2019 that has enabled me to translate my passion into a new career.
I now work as a Coach, supporting people to realise their full potential through the power of coaching. Reasons for Coaching can include building greater confidence and self-esteem, developing an authentic leadership style and facing into the challenges of leadership, helping to find ways to balance work and home life without feeling overwhelmed, breaking down barriers and blockers to enhance personal and business performance, or having a safe space to explore ideas and issues that you don't currently have access to. The reasons will be unique to you and the support you receive will be tailored to meet your goals and needs.
This can be done independently or in parallel with coaching of senior leaders.
In addition, I offer HR consultancy to small businesses to help them to build the foundations of good people practices to encourage heir businesses to grow profitably and legally.
I aim to offer support that is jargon free so that you can really understand what coaching support looks like and how you or your leaders will benefit.
Making the transition from large corporate to individual business owner has been challenging, but it helps me be in a position to assist people more effectively. I am that small business owner, so can support you because I understand what you are going through. Equally, I have been in the crazy world of high pressure large business and know what is needed to be successful and how to thrive.
